Cypress Trees
We grow four types of farm cypress.

Cypresses form the ideal windbreak around a lambing paddock or shelter for newly shorn sheep. They will form a better protection for your stock on those cold winter nights than natives. The disadvantage of cypresses over natives is that in the case of fire, cypresses will be destroyed, whereas natives will regenerate. Also natives will attract the native birds. Best tree planting times vary according to location and the moisture content in the soil. All cypresses are extremely frost hardy and not subject to insect attack. |
