Apart from growing trees, we now supply a full tree-planting service to those clients who cannot afford the time to do their own planting.

We ask the client to prepare the plantation site by spraying the area with a herbicide such as Roundup to eliminate the competition with the young plants. An additional deep rip line next to where the trees are to be planted will help the trees to get off to a quicker start. We supply and plant the tree, with a netting guard and three bamboo stakes. We also fertilize the trees with 8/9 Months Osmocote.

To plant the trees, we use a Hamilton tree planter. This handtool takes a core of soil from the ground of the same shape as the tube. We place some Osmocote at the bottom of the hole, insert the tree from the tube into the hole, and firm down. We then put the guard around the tree.

For this service we charge $1.65 per tree. We will plant a minimum of 500 trees.

Best tree planting times vary according to location
and the moisture content in the soil.  North of the
Great Dividing Range, best results occur with autumn
plantings, whereas in the Ballarat region,  spring
plantings are best.

We supply a large range of trees, suitable for
various conditions and purposes.  We will even grow
your own seed if required.
